Heather M. Beverly, (formerly Nelson) a native from Minneapolis, Minnesota, earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1993.  After college, she went on to law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago, Illinois where she earned her J.D. in just 2 ½ years in 1995.  Mrs. Beverly began her legal career as an Associate with Donald Hubert & Associates where she practiced in the areas of high profile, complex civil and criminal litigation and ethics work.  She opened her own law office in March 1998.

With an ever-growing and impressive roster of clients and significant dealmaking, Mrs. Beverly is recognized for being a powerbroker who consistently provides quality, aggressive representation of her clients, while maintaining a personal touch and being attentive to her clients’ needs. Her current practice concentrates in the area of Entertainment Law.  Mrs. Beverly has been featured in numerous publications and also dedicates much of her time to public speaking tours and lectures on subjects including entertainment law, entertainment business related topics and motivational speaking.

Mrs. Beverly is married to Anthony Beverly (drummer/producer and son of R&B legend Frankie Beverly). Together, they have formed Brantera Music Group, Inc., a full service entertainment, production and consulting company of which Mrs. Beverly is CEO and General Counsel.  Their debut recording project “Silky Soul Music…All Star Tribute to Maze f/Frankie Beverly” features Mary J. Blige, Joe, Musiq Soulchild, Kem, The Clark Sisters and others performing hits from Frankie Beverly’s legendary catalog.
