Former Board of Governors of the Recording Academy member, Heather Beverly is an entertainment attorney, speaker, consultant and author. As founder and CEO of the Law Office of Heather Beverly, P.C. her firm represents film and TV producers, writers and production companies; radio personalities; executives, entrepreneurs, influencers; and some of the music industry’s legends as well as top pop, hip-hop, R&B and gospel artists, producers and entertainers.

Ms. Beverly is a “Legacy Strategist”™ recognized for being a powerbroker who consistently provides quality, aggressive and integral representation of her vast and impressive roster of clients, always with a personal touch and a keen understanding of the soul of “who” the client is.

Ms. Beverly, a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She attended Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago, Illinois where she earned her J.D. in just 2½ years. Ms. Beverly began her legal career as an Associate with Donald Hubert & Associates where she practiced in the areas of high profile, complex civil and criminal litigation, and ethics work. Ms. Beverly established the Law Office of Heather Beverly, P.C. in Chicago, Illinois in 1998.

Ms. Beverly’s client roster includes Grammy-winning artists, estates of cultural icons, music super-producers, screenwriters, executives, influencers, and legacy brands. Her expertise spans intellectual property protection, catalog sales, music licensing, business structuring, and estate representation. A dedicated advocate for gospel music, she has long worked to ensure that the spiritual and cultural contributions of gospel artists, producers, and estates are properly recognized, monetized, and preserved.

Ms. Beverly served on the Board of Governors of the Recording Academy (Grammys) for eight years, frequently speaks around the globe on entertainment industry related panels, podcasts and television shows and has been featured in numerous publications.

She is also the founder and CEO of three companies, two of which bear the name of her brand, “Soul Reciprocity®”. Soul Reciprocity (the lifestyle brand) launched with the release of Ms. Beverly’s first book, Soul Reciprocity: A Quest to SOUL-FULL Relationships, with journals and other tools and treasures that provide guidance and support through the journey of self-discovery. Soul Reciprocity Network® (“SRN”) is a consulting company focused on brand development and monetization strategizing in the entertainment industry, assisting its clients with brand identity, needs analyses, growth models and global positioning for opportunities with SRN strategic partners.

In 2009, Ms. Beverly formed Brantera Music Group, Inc. As founder and CEO, Ms. Beverly led the company to execute its vision to honor her legendary father-in-law (and client) through the recording project Silky Soul Music: An All-Star Tribute to Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, a catalog gem featuring A-list artists performing Maze’s hits such as Mary J. Blige, Musiq Soulchild, Kem, Ledisi and Raheem DeVaughn. As timeless as the originals, the tribute project continues to be streamed across all platforms.
